Christmas in Sweden, I like....

This week, week 48, I am with Sarah and Ida C. On monday asternoon we first did our homework.
Then we ate fish sticks and pasta and then watched TV. We watched Disney Channel.
On Tuesday I went to the shop to by some food and in the evening we had a candle party at Ida´s house. A person came and sold candles and there were a loy of guests there.
On Wednesday I went with Sarah and we did our homework. It was geography, we study Sweden in fourth grade. And we ate Beef stroganoff for dinner.
Thursday.
Ida went home from school today. She did not feel well.
Friday
At school we had an Advent assembly in our assembly hall. We sang songs and lit candles. We cleaned Ida´s house and put up first advent lights. We celebrate Advent in Sweden. We have a candle stick with four candles. Four Sundays before Christmas Eve we light the first candle
and then we light a new candle every Sunday until Christmas. Advent means arrival. We also put electric lights in the windows and stars as well.
Saturday
I go to Gislaved to meet Ida´s cousins
Mimmi and Kajsa. Gislaved is in Småland in Sweden. It takes about an hour to drive there. We went to Grandma and ate gingerbread cookies and drank glögg. Glögg is a traditional Christmas drink almost like glüwein. After that we went to Ida´s cousins house. All the parents went to a party and grandma babysat. We played cards.
On Sunday we went home and get Ida´s leggings because Sarah and Ida were going to had a dance performance. They were fantastic. After that there were more glögg, a party at Sarah´s house. That is a huge tradition in Sweden; glögg parties!!! Since it is alcohol in the glögg, we drank julmust, that is sooo good. Julmust is a softdrink brewed in Sweden for ages. It sells more than Coca-Cola in Sweden which is very annoying for them....
God Jul everyone!!!! From Whisky
